The National Heart Group, DBA Medcourse is your Emergency Medical Education Provider of American Heart Association courses. To ensure the proper ratio of students to instructors, Medcourse requires students to register and pay for classes in full prior to the class start date. Medcourse accepts personal checks, major credit cards and cash. All returned checks are subject to a $35 fee.

While Medcourse makes every effort to conduct every scheduled class in an instructive and professional manner. We realize that there may be times when classes need to be cancelled or changed. The following is our policy regarding such changes or cancellations:

1. If a client/student notifies Medcourse within seven (7) days of a scheduled class, they will receive a full refund for the amount paid. If a client/students notifies Medcourse between six (6) days and forty eight (48) hours of a scheduled class requesting to cancel participation, Medcourse will refund one half the amount paid. Cancellations with less than forty-eight (48) hours notice are not eligible for any refunds. Clients who provide at least forty-eight (48) hours notice of cancellation, may choose to take another available scheduled class in lieu of a refund. The re-scheduled class must be taken within three (3) months of the notice of cancellation.

Please notify Medcourse of a request for cancellation or change via email or telephone between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. eastern time at 877-374-6257. In order to qualify for a refund or re-schedule, you must receive a return email acknowledgment of your request, or speak with a person. Unanswered messages will not qualify for the refund or re-schedule.

2. There may be occasions when Medcourse must cancel a class (e.g. for weather.) If a class is to be cancelled, clients will be notified via telephone or by email. Students enrolled for a cancelled class, will have the choice of receiving a full refund or scheduling another class.

3. Medcourse offers no refunds once a class has started.

PLEASE NOTE: Medcourse adheres to the policies set by the American Heart Association and the National Safety Council. Therefore, students may be required to pass a written and or a skills test in order to pass the course and receive a certification card. Failure to achieve passing status does not entitle the student to a refund.
